Free/Subsidised Masters in AgInnovation

Masters in AgInnovation (Agricultural Innovation and Entrepreneurship) at NUI Galway are currently recruiting a new group of students for AgInnovation to start in September.  The program is Free (for unemployed/returners) and Subsidised (90% for employees) and is funded by Springboard+ (Government of Ireland and the EU).

We thought that this might be of interest to your community and individuals who wish to develop a new business idea and acquire a better understanding of the innovation process.  This course fills a core gap for the agricultural ecosystem in terms of structured entrepreneurship skills in rural Galway and Ireland in general. Key stakeholders we work with include micro, small, medium and large agri-companies, as well as farmers. The course is suitable for learning both entrepreneurship skills as well as intrapreneurial/corporate innovation skills.

The course is distance learning/blended for the most part and therefore can be taken by participants all around the county (or country). Some workshops are held in Galway periodically. It is one of the few Level 9 Masters courses that can be taken in this manner and that is subsidised at 90-100% (fees down to €820 for employees or €0 for unemployed/returners). We also have a potential RPL (recognition of prior learning) route for those who may have the appropriate equivalent experiential learning that would be required instead of an undergraduate degree.

Individuals can apply for the Masters in AgInnovation at: - the course starts in September, so applications are advised now before remaining places are filled.
